Home is where you hang your heart

Well, the cuffs are still in progress...they are very time consuming but fulfilling to make.  I will try to post some pics tomorrow!  It being February 1st, I thought I'd post some pics of a couple of crochet bits that are adding a rainbow of color to my home and making us all anticipate Valentine's Day! 

First up, my Valentine's tree.





Just close ups today; the faraway pics were blurry!  I got this little heart pattern  from Lucy over at Attic 24.  The jar, oh the jar.  It was so much fun to make.  Lace with a touch of embroidery thread.



 



The teeny tiny hearts on the tree were just not enough.



It was time for something much more noticeable...



It was blocked (sprayed with water and pinned down overnight to make the hearts nice and flat)...



Blocked and ready to be hung...



Here she is!  A fantastically colorful awesome heart garland!





Our house is almost Valentine's ready but I do have one more project up my sleeve that involves kids, paint and wood.  Shhhh...my kids don't know what they're in for yet!  For any of you who are interested, here's the tutorial for the heart garland.  You still have time to make your very own!
